Apr 10 · River Queen and Teen Winners » The Rivers & Spires Festival, Inc Queen and Teen Pageant was held on Saturday, April 5, at the APSU Clement Auditorium. The following winners were selected from approximately 20 young women competing in interview, swimsuit, and evening gowns for these titles:

Mar 18 · "Wine-Down" at this years new Wine & Food Workshops » Wine and Food Lovers will find something new,fun and exciting in the Jazz'N Wine area this year. Yes, we will have the annual tasting of all the wonderful vintages made throughout Middle Tennessee. Many of us love wine, and food is a given, but there are times we become confused about pairing the two, how do you choose? How often are you given the opportunity to ask about wine or Taste amazing food when paired with wine make a perfect marriage? At the 2008 Rivers & Spires Festival you are invited to attend three (3) wine and food pairing workshops on Saturday afternoon, April 19, that will be conducted in a tent at the Jazz'N Wine area . Each "class" will be 30 minutes and hosted by Chef Patty Hay, a local caterer and Louisa Cooke of Beachaven Winery. Check the Jazz'N Wine page for a list of the workshops and times. Mark this as a must on your festival schedule and while there enjoy the taste of the vine from around Middle Tennessee!!!

Mar 10 · Miss River Queen/Teen Pageant Application Deadline Close » The Miss River Queen/Teen Pageant's application process has closed. The offical Miss River Queen/Teen Pageant will be held Saturday, April 5. The show starts at 7p.m. and will be held in the Clement Auditorium on the campus of Austin Peay State University. Tickets are $10/person and may be purchased at the door. Doors open at 6:30p.m. Seating is general admission. This is a preliminary pageant to the Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Tennessee Teen USA Pageants to be held in October 2008. Who will be our next 2008 Miss River Queen and Miss River Teen? Mar 8 · Headliners and great entertainment will be at this FREE Festival! » Check out the schedule of all the super entertainment that will be featured at the 2008 Festival . This is a FREE event for the general public to enjoy, yes that is right, there's no admission charge at the 2008 Rivers & Spires Festival. We will have over 100 entertainers to include all types of genres from Country to Christian, Rock to Jazz, or a type that will entice your musical taste. Featured this year: Lonestar, Rhet Akins, Hawk Nelson's Green T Tour 2008, Second Story Guys, and RIck Hubbard, just to mention a few. There's something for everyone at the 2008 Rivers & Spires Festival so check out the Stages Schedule on a regular basis and find the entertainment that matches your interest.

Nov 28 · Apply Online Now » You can apply for any of the great Rivers and Spires 2008 events online now by clicking on the Applications tab at the right. Simply fill out the online form and you will receive additional information about completing the registration process. In addition to the great events like Rising Star and the Children's Parade, applications are available for commercial vendors(no sales), food vendors, arts vendors, the marketplace(commercial items)and entertainers as well.

Sep 26 · Rivers & Spires Gets Pinnacle Award » Rivers and Spires Festival, Inc. was awarded the International Festivals & Events Association’s Gold Grand Pinnacle last week at the 52nd annual IFEA convention and expo. This prestigious award sponsored by Haas & Wilkerson Insurance represents the top honor in the festival industry.
